Owner Kath Bullen has created a cosy and friendly bed and breakfast all set against a backdrop of original paintings and individually designed rooms. At the end of a chilly day settle down and relax in front of the log fire with a fresh pot of tea, homemade biscuits and the newspaper. All the rooms in the cottage have vaulted ceilings, porcelain flag floors and under floor heating. The two en-suite bedrooms have Egyptian cotton linen, luxurious fluffy white towels and bathrobes, toiletries, fruit, hairdryer and flat screen TV. With your own entrance door onto the terrace and the magnificent views of the Lancashire countryside watch the horses grazing on the Pennine moors. Ideal for walking and exploring the Pennines. Experience the many local activities including sailing, horse riding, mountain biking or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. On a summers evening , enjoy a glass of wine and watch the swallows darting in and out of the stables. If you are lucky enough you will hear an owl sat on one of the three tall chimneys. My son ‘the village blacksmith’ lives next door in the 17th century farmhouse. With prior notice he may be available to demonstrate his skill and profession of shoeing a horse.
