The Blackburn Empire Theatre is the new name for the Thwaites Empire Theatre. Over the years, it was known as the Electric Light Theatre, the Barn, the Empire, the Red Brick, the Thwaites Theatre, the Thwaites Empire Theatre and now, finally the Blackburn Empire Theatre. The Theatre has a packed events calendar with performances and activities to suit all the family, opera, musicals, comedy and much, much more.

On the A666 at Ewood, close to Blackburn Rovers FC between Blackburn and Darwen.From M65 Junction 4 follow signs A666 Blackburn. The Theatre is just after Ewood Park football stadium.
