A stunning new market in the heart of the town centre. The new Blackburn Market is based in the heart of The Mall busy shopping centre.Occupying the ground floor of the three storey centre in Church Street and Ainsworth Street, the contemporary new market hall is modern, bright and spacious – yet it still retains a traditional market feel.Open six days a week and with more than 120 stalls to browse through, the new Blackburn Market has changed the face of markets forever. There is no market like it in the country. Connected by escalators and lifts to the department stores and famous high street names above, it has direct links to shopping centre footfall of 275,000 per week.A wide range of stalls selling high quality, locally sourced fresh produce including fish, meat, game, fruit and vegetables. Many of the traders have been in the town for decades. There is also a host of non food stalls selling everything you need under one roof including textiles, technology, electrical items, fashion-wear, mobile phones, cards and gifts.New to the market is the food court with a wide range of places to eat and a shared seating area.Parking for the market can be found on The Mall shopping centre where there are 1,300 spaces available.Coach parties are also welcome.
