The Courthouse occupies part of a Grade II listed building situated on King Street. The property is owned by East Lancashire Deaf Society and the building itself has a rich history dating back to when it was first built in 1804.
The impressive restaurant interior includes historic charm and spreads over one floor providing comfortable seating for 50 covers, and has been furnished to the highest standard to match the fine dining on offer. Pick something from the Specials Board or from the main menu...all meals are prepared fresh on a daily basis, including traditional Lancashire food.
The Courthouse restaurant portrays a stunning character while providing a comfortable ambience, so if it's a main meal or simply a coffee that you want, then the Courthouse is the place to be.
Let your visit be an experience and also be part of British history...do come and eat in the same venue where King George III once celebrated his birthday on 6th June 1804 or the place where a grand banquet was held to celebrate the victory of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
Please do contact us for external catering or for table bookings. We also welcome phone orders...just collect when ready. We look forward to seeing you soon!
