The Mall Blackburn’s Great Re-Usable Bottle Giveaway!

This year, as part of its annual EnviroMall campaign, The Mall Blackburn is helping its customers to reduce their impact on the environment by giving away re-usable water bottles.

It’s a well-known fact that drinking water is good for your health and wellbeing. But with UK consumers using upwards of 18 billion plastic bottles each year, when only a quarter of these are recycled, sadly 38 million plastic bottles end up in landfill every single day.

To help combat this, The Mall Blackburn is raising awareness of this issue and offering shoppers the opportunity to claim a FREE environmentally friendly, re-usable water bottle between 2nd to 8th March 2015 (while stocks last*).

If you still need convincing to make the change, perhaps it helps knowing that using a re-usable bottle is more cost-effective than bottled water? In fact, bottled water costs on average 500 times more than tap water, which would be equivalent to you paying £1,500 for a pint of beer or glass of wine. 

So for those of you that don’t already own a re-usable water bottle, visit The Mall Blackburn to claim one for yourself! Head to the Ask Me Point between Monday 2nd and Sunday 8th March 2015 to receive your free re-usable bottle and start re-filling to help the environment.

Last year, The Mall portfolio generated 5,885 tonnes of waste, which is equivalent to the weight of almost 400 London buses. 80 per cent of this waste was recycled, 11 per cent used to generate energy and 91 per cent was diverted from going direct to landfill.
