The HEADLINE sponsor has been announced for the Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival which will see Lancashire’s Cathedral spring into bloom this summer.
Award-winning garden centre and one of the county’s premier retail destinations, Barton Grange, will be the lead sponsor for the festival to be held 23rd – 26th June 2016.
Thousands of flowers are set to fill the stunning architecture of the Cathedral during the four-day extravaganza designed by the internationally renowned artistic director Bill Dixon with Hans Haverkamp. Barton Grange will bring a taste of the outdoors to the festival with their artistic flair set to decorate a key area within the new Clergy Court with decorative garden and flower displays.
The budding event has taken nearly two years to organise and will welcome enthusiasts and visitors from across the country, with more exciting events and special guests due to be announced soon.

The garden centre based in Brock, near Preston, was named ‘Destination Garden Centre of the Year’ in 2015, for the fourth consecutive year, and has built a strong reputation for stocking a wide range of quality plants and garden equipment.
Barton Grange Garden Centre also has a number of other attractions including a Cook Shop, home décor department, two restaurants and a Farm Shop, selling locally sourced produce and fine foods.

Blackburn Catherdral Flower Festival is the showpiece of a midsummer festival being organised by the Blackburn Business Improvement District (BID). The blossoming event provides people from across the country the opportunity to take a look at the changing face of Blackburn, with the Cathedral as the cornerstone of the redevelopment.
Blackburn’s Cathedral Quarter development boasts a new Clergy Court which will include the first Cathedral Cloisters to be built in the country for over 600 years. Clergy Court also includes offices, a library, apartments and townhouses together with a public refectory for the cathedral. The wider regeneration project features a recently opened six-storey office block, a 60 bed Premier Inn together with restaurant & retail space.
Barton Grange Garden Centre join a number of sponsors who are supporting the event including Blackburn BID, John Turner Construction Group, Blackburn Market, Eric Wright Group, High Level Maintenance, Cope Engineering and media partners BBC Radio Lancashire and Square Cactus.
