Fresh new service at The Mall Blackburn

The Mall Blackburn has added an innovative dry-cleaning service to its customer offering thanks to a partnership with Accrington based professional garment care company Acorns of Lancashire.

Available at the Ask Me Point, the service is a pioneering alternative to traditional dry-cleaning and customers can drop off items any day of the week and collect them every Tuesday and Friday.

The WetCare system uses sophisticated methods to safely clean items of clothing that are normally dry-cleaned.

The environmentally friendly process, which produces excellent cleaning results, is perfect for sensitive skin and delicate fabrics.

It uses water and a safe, biodegradable liquid mixture to ensure garments are left clean and smelling fresh without the use of dry-cleaning chemicals and harmful solvents.

Jason Cothliff, Ask Me Point Supervisor at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be offering this service at our Ask Me Point through Acorns of Lancashire.

“We are constantly looking for additional ways to make life easier for shoppers and dry-cleaning is one of those unavoidable chores that is always put to the bottom of the list.

“Now customers can simply drop off and collect their items when shopping – perfect!”

Brendan Duffy, Owner of Acorns of Lancashire, added: “Our partnership with The Mall will open up a whole new customer base for us and we are very proud to be working with the team there.

“Our mantra is ‘Proud of our Standards’ and I can confidently say that this is mirrored by The Mall staff that will be delivering this offering.

“Since launching our company in Accrington in 2013 we have been leading the way for WetCare in Lancashire and the UK and this is another very exciting step in our journey.”

Earlier this year management at The Mall invested £30,000 to extend and update its Ask Me Point to allow for the increase in demand after the introduction of services such as the hugely popular Collect Plus and the new children’s ride-in carts.

In addition, there are interactive digital touch points that allow shoppers to browse centre maps, current retailer and Mall job vacancies as well as information about centre events.

The Ask Me Point is home to five highly trained customer services advisors, headed up by Supervisor, Jason Cothliff.
