Christmas Party on the Market and Street Feast

A bumper Christmas market shopping experience with a festive street feast is promised for Blackburn Town Centre as event organisers at the Blackburn Business Improvement District join forces with Blackburn Market on Saturday 9th December.

Following the success of the Blackburn BID street fairs in May, July and September, the teams are now collaborating to fill up the available stall holder spaces within Blackburn's indoor market for a one off weatherproof homegrown Christmas market event.

The extra pop-up traders, craft and gift stalls will spill out onto the streets with an exciting festive street food and drink feast on Ainsworth Street in the plaza space adjacent to the bus station.

BID Manager, Harriet Roberts explains;

"This will be the second year we have delivered a homegrown Christmas market following feedback from visitors. By moving the core offer indoors to Blackburn Market we hope to introduce new shoppers to the existing offer and showcase the opportunity to take a stall in the town centre to potential new traders."

Free festive entertainment provided by Blackburn Market will include the opportunity to step inside a giant snow globe, a Santa sleigh and a rodeo reindeer ride.

The Christmas Party on the Market takes place on Saturday 9th December between 10am – 6pm.
