Half Term & Halloween Fun in the Libraries

Pumpkin themed family craft sessions

With Hallowe'en just around the corner, there's fun for all the family at our Pumpkin themed family craft sessions in Blackburn Library and Darwen Library.  Come along and listen to the story Maisy's Hallowe'en then get stuck in to some festive art activities.  Don't forget that children should be accompanied by an adult at the family craft sessions.  These will take place at:

•             Darwen Library, Monday 22nd October, 2 - 3 pm

•             Blackburn Library, Tuesday 23rd October, 2 - 3 pm

Free tickets are now available for each session from the relevant library.  Please note that advance booking is advised to avoid disappointment on the day.

Mars Rover Kre8 workshops (age 8 - 12 years)

On Monday afternoons, starting on 22nd October at Darwen Library, this project takes the form of 5 free workshops, during which you will learn how to design, build and control your own Kre8 Mars Rover type model.  Each session lasts for one hour, from 4.15 - 5.15 pm.  If you are interested in taking part, or for more information, please phone Darwen Library (see telephone number above).

Code Clubs (age 8 - 11 years)

Code Clubs are back for slightly older children, also during the half term break.  Come along and use the Scratch programme to animate your own characters on our computers.  Previous experience is not required, but places are very limited, so advance booking is strongly advised.  Free tickets are now available from the relevant library:

•             Blackburn Library, Thursday 25th October, 2 - 3.30 pm

•             Darwen Library, Friday 26th October, 2 - 3.30 pm

Create your own T-shirt workshop (age 8 - 11 years)

 Come and have fun at our workshops on Friday 26th October, and have a go at printing your very own design onto a T-shirt.  Entry is by free ticket, available from the relevant library.

•             Darwen Library, 11 am - 12.30 pm

•             Blackburn Library, 2.30 - 4 pm
