Cracking Christmas in store at The Mall!

The Mall Blackburn is ready for the most wonderful time of the year!

Preparations started in early spring and the finishing touches are now being made for the biggest and best Christmas yet!

The promise of an unforgettable experience for children will be fulfilled in the form of Santa’s Fantastical Post Office, which opened its doors on Saturday 23rd November.

It is filled with magical characters and awe-inspiring gizmos and gadgets that are used to send letters and wish lists off to the North Pole.

Post Master Baubles is on-hand to present children with beautiful proof of postage cards once they have handed their lists over and, should any letters get left behind, families will need to go on a mission to deliver them to Santa!

Everyone needs to pass through the door of believability to ensure they get there on time….but only true believers will be granted passage!

Finally, children meet Santa and take home a fabulous, high quality gift to remember the day.

From Monday 16th to Tuesday 24th December volunteers from a whole host of charities will be wrapping presents for shoppers in return for donations, taking away at least a little bit of work for those that are busy on the run up to Christmas.

The Mall is also home to community interest group Secret Santa this year after management offered them a unit free of charge to help raise awareness of their cause.

Volunteers at the shop, which is on King William Street, are aiming to deliver sacks of gifts to more than 1000 children in Blackburn and the surrounding areas.

Management at The Mall believe that every child deserves a gift and shoppers can donate either in store at Secret Santa or at The Mall’s Ask Me Point.

The shopping centre is now twinkling with festive decorations and late night shopping will start on Thursday 5th December.

Finally, the team at The Mall will be helping customers find the perfect gift for loved ones with its online offers and gift guides.

Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “After months of planning and preparations, we are ready to enjoy a wonderful Christmas here at The Mall!

“We have worked hard to ensure that this year’s grotto offering, Santa’s Fantastical Post Office, will be unforgettable for little ones.

“As it is the season of giving we’re working with a whole host of charities to offer them space to carry out gift wrapping in return for donations and we will be throwing our full support behind the Secret Santa store in The Mall too!

“Our late night shopping starts on Thursday 5th December for those who find there aren’t enough hours in the day at this time of year.

“We look forward to the busy and exciting weeks ahead!”
