Press Release of (RE)VIEW

22nd March 2021

(RE)VIEW is the culminating group project by five emerging artists; Amelia Baron, Christian Bell, Susan Brazendale, Francis Martin and Kym Westall, who have come together as part of the Creative Accelerator Project, funded by Arts Council England and The Making Rooms Blackburn.

(RE)VIEW aims to engage the audience to reconnect with Blackburn in a safe and exciting manner. Each artist has created a piece of work about or inspired by a location in Blackburn. We have focused on the overlooked, revisited the familiar and reflected on the spaces that we live work and play in. At each of these points you can connect with the artist using a smartphone and a QR code and view the work that has been inspired by the location. Blackburn is an amazing place filled with stories and personal histories and we are looking to add five more personal takes to this town's story. We hope that after this, elements of our visions and ideas will lead you to (RE)VIEW where you live.

Our ambition is to deliver this project through crowdfunding. (RE)VIEW intends to launch on the 17th May 2021 alongside the Blackburn Creative Spaces programme.
