 Sally smartens Lord Street West!

Local artist Sally Leach has spent three weeks on a mural for the boarded up former greengrocers on Lord Street West. The work is part of the Empty Shops Initiative, a regeneration scheme led by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

The mural depicts icons and Blackburn's famous sons and daughters, including Carl Fogerty, Diana Vickers and Wayne Hemmingway. The artist has also included Blackburn's history and possible future in the artwork including a picture of Blackburn's Giant.
