Wayne Hemingway MBE is the guest DJ at this month's 3 Room Soul Night at King Georges Hall.

The style guru will be celebrating the 16th anniversary of the popular soul night on Saturday, January 29. Wayne was brought up in Blackburn and has become world famous for his fashion brand 'Red or Dead' and his award winning design company HemingwayDesign .

But what people might not know is that he started his massive vinyl collection at Wigan Casino and Blackpool Mecca in the 1970's.

Having DJ'ed as a teenager he now makes guest appearances around the country.

He said: “I was at November’s 3 Room Soul Night, great music, great atmosphere and some fantastic dancers.

"Soul Music is the musical love of my life and is alive and well in my beloved Blackburn."
