Starsailer frontman James Walsh at Live Lounge

8th November 2011

Categories: Town Centre News

CHORLEY-born frontman of Starsailor, James Walsh is stopping off in Blackburn for his first ever gig in the town at the Live Lounge.

He’s enjoying life as a modern-day troubadour, travelling from town to town armed with little more than a guitar playing a selection of songs old and new with a few covers thrown in.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.

"I’ve been doing this acoustic thing for most of the year.

"There will be some Starsailor songs and some covers plus new material I’ve been writing.”

Starsailor became sensations virtually overnight when they emerged in 2000, with major tours to massive venues around the world along with four hit albums and 10 top 40 singles.

Since then taking a hiatus from the band, Walsh has been in demand.

James Walsh, Live Lounge, Blackburn, Thursday, November 10, doors 7.30pm. Tickets £6.
