Blackburn Museum takes part in Night Sites

Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery is joining the Night Sites event which sees five museums and galleries across Pennine Lancashire open their doors late into the evening. Held on the weekend of 13th-15th May 2011, the venues will host special events inspired by their collections and industrial heritage for all the family to discover and enjoy. All the events are FREE.

Museums at Night is an annual national campaign which seeks to encourage visitors into museums, galleries and heritage sites by simply opening up late or putting on special evening events. Night Sites is brought to you by Perspectives of Pennine Lancashire (POPL), a network delivering visual arts programmes and raising the profile and ambition of visual arts and heritage across Pennine Lancashire.

Other Venues taking part include;

Helmshore Mills Textile Museum, Helmshore
Queen Street Textiles Museum, Burnley
