Investment boost for Blackburn

Public spaces in King William Street, Blackburn, are being transformed following a £570,000 grant from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The work will create high-quality public areas on the main retail and commercial street of Blackburn town centre. 

The works are due to be completed in the new year but shoppers are encouraged to still use the street while works are ongoing. Access to all the shops on King William Street is still available and benches have been relocated to ensure shoppers can sit outside through the summer. There is also a fairground outside the Town Hall until September 5th for families to take advantage of while shopping during the school holidays.
