Olympians come to Blackburn Town Centre tomorrow!

Meet two Olympic Gold medallists Linford Christie and Darren Campbell tomorrow in Blackburn town centre.

The pair will be putting youngsters through their paces (Friday, July 19) at their Street Athletics event.

The event, which will run from midday until 4pm is aimed at getting young people into sport.

It is now in its 8th year and has introduced thousands of budding athletes to the sport.

The races will take place in Town Hall Square, King William Street, Blackburn.

The top three in boys and girls will be also invited to the National Final.

Linford Christie has said: “For us it began on the streets challenging other kids from other estates to race against us and if we hadn't have done that we never would have got to where we are today.”
