Wellbeing Farm wins gold

Despite being in business for only six months, The Wellbeing Farm in Edgworth, Bolton has been awarded a Gold Green Tourism Award. 

Eleanor Pratt, Grading Assessor, Green Tourism said “The Wellbeing Farm has done exceptionally well to achieve the prestigious Gold Green Tourism award at the first attempt. Celia and the team’s commitment to  sustainable business practices is evident throughout, from the well managed building powered by the farm’s own wind turbine, to the superb use and promotion of home-grown and locally sourced produce. Excellent educational work is done on site, and the entire business is geared towards improving the health and wellbeing of its visitors. The strong focus on promoting sustainable transport to and from the farm for both staff and visitors is another highlight. Overall a great site, and an excellent new entry to the scheme.”
