Shop Local Day

Shoppers are being urged to shop local and support our market traders and independent retailers on Saturday, December 7th.

Lots of events and special offers are available in Blackburn and Darwen town centre on the day as part of the global event.

Traders have come together to organise the events themselves to attract visitors into the town centre and show off our hidden retail gems.

Cllr Kate Hollern said: “We have had several meetings with traders in Blackburn and Darwen to discuss how we can help support local businesses.
“We want to help encourage more people to shop locally. Every pound spent in an independent shop means between 50p and 70p goes back into the local economy and you are doing your bit to help Blackburn and Darwen prosper and grow for future generations to enjoy.”
