Blackburn with Darwen Supports Armed Forces Day 2013

Blackburn with Darwen is hosting events to commemorate Armed Forces Day 2013 on Saturday, June 29.

In the lead up to the day, flags will be raised in front of Blackburn and Darwen town halls on Monday, June 24 at 11am. Armed forces and Blackburn with Darwen Council dignitaries will be in attendance with local school children.

Then on Armed Forces Day, Saturday June 29, a parade will be held at 11am in Darwen Town Square. Local residents are invited to show your support and join in with both events.

Armed Forces Day is an annual, national campaign that gives everyone the opportunity to show their support for the men and women of the armed forces past and present, including currently serving troops, service families, reservists, veterans and cadets.
