  • To highlight the great sustainable food work already happening in Blackburn with Darwen
  • To discuss the Sustainable Food Cities key issues http://sustainablefoodcities.org/
  • To discuss and comment on the draft Sustainable Food Lancashire charter and strategic framework
  • To identify potential partners and establish a Blackburn with Darwen Sustainable Food action group

Sustainable Food Cities is a National Programme to address:

  • Sustainable supply chains
  • Community food projects
  • Food knowledge and skills
  • Public sector food
  • Food enterprises
  • Food poverty and access
  • Healthy and sustainable diets
  • Food waste

In the first instance, please feel free to ‘Save The Date’ to support this exciting new programme for Blackburn with Darwen. The event will be by invitation only due to expected interest and capacity, so if you are interested please register your interest at this time and invitations will be sent at a later date to registered organisations. To avoid the event becoming oversubscribed we ask that partner organisations register just one representative.
