Three day Blackburn Beer Festival starts 29th April

 THREE day Blackburn Beer Festival including over 70 ales, Rugby matches and live music starts Friday 29th April 2016.

Blackburn Beer Festival which spans over three days, hosted at Blackburn Rugby Club kicks off next weekend.

This popular event starts at 4:30pm on Friday 29th April and finishes at 11pm on Sunday 1st May at Blackburn Rugby Club, Ramsgreave Drive BB1 8NB, who are hosting the event for the third consecutive year.

Drinkers can look forward to live rugby matches and live music entertainment throughout the weekend. Over 28 breweries have supported the event which will showcase over 70 ales, ciders and lagers. Hot and cold food will also be available throughout the weekend to keep festival goers fuelled.

Live music entertainment begins on Friday 29th April at 7pm with ‘Street Jazz,’ the Saxophone Duo by Calvin and Tony, performing for beer fans, before ‘Jiggs’ perform an indie pop set from 9pm til late.

Rugby matches kick off at 3pm on Saturday 30th April with Blackburn 1st Team vs Penrith and Blackburn 2nd Team vs Liverpool Collegiate 2. Evening entertainment includes live music from ‘Street Jazz’ who will take to the stage at 9pm.

Several Junior rugby matches will take place on Sunday, 1st May including U15s Blackburn v Harrogate. With kick off from 12pm, U14s Blackburn V Ashton U Lyne with Kick off from 1:15pm and round robin U16s Blackburn V Rossendale V Bury due to kick off from 2:15pm.

Crowds will then enjoy evening entertainment from indie rock performer ‘Jaggs’ at 7pm followed by popular performer ‘Paul Connor’ at 9pm.

Tickets are just £5 per day which includes a complimentary pint glass, pen and festival programme.

Tickets available to people aged 18 and over ( ID will be requested as proof of age) . Beer tokens will be available to buy over the festival weekend.
