Christmas Spectacular's Beastly role for Pop Star and Voice winner Kevin

King George's Hall have announced pop star and The Voice UK 2016 winner Kevin Simm as the star for this year's pantomime and Christmas spectacular “Beauty and the Beast”.

Kevin from Chorley, who is famed for his time in Liberty X and the winner of prime-time TV show The Voice, will take on the role of the Beast in the show which runs throughout December.

Starring alongside Kevin as Belle, is Jennifer Greene, who finds true love when her tears transform the Beast into the handsome prince of her dreams.

The show will be produced by the world-renowned Stageworks Productions, who are masters at creating performances sprinkled with song, dance, laughter and extra helpings of fairy tale magic. Audiences can expect to enjoy traditional panto fun with Bryan Reid in the role of Dame and well-known Beauty and the Beast characters Gaston, Lumiere and Monsieur Ding Dong!

Kevin, said, “It's great to be coming to Blackburn for Christmas this year. The production team have already been working hard. The spectacular costumes are incredible and I can't wait to see the magic brought to life for families this Christmas. King George's Hall is definitely the place to be for pantomime in 2017.”

A spokesperson for King George's Hall added, “We are so excited to announce Kevin for Beauty and the Beast. He is an incredible talent and we know already that people are very excited to see this traditional fairy tale transformed for Christmas. When we first announced the pantomime earlier in the year, the response on social media was incredible and the excitement is definitely building.”

Audiences are guaranteed the usual pantomime fun and games and, of course, a very happy ending.

Beauty and the Beast runs from Sunday 10th December 2017 to Sunday 31st December at King George's Hall, Blackburn.

Tickets are priced from £10.00 at special family performances and people are encouraged to book early as tickets are already selling quickly.
