Corporation Park

Close to Blackburn town centre is the traditional Victorian Corporation Park, first opened in 1857. Through the historic archway entrance from Preston New Road and the tree lined avenue are acres of stunning scenery featuring fountains and statues, lakes and streams, a Garden of Remembrance and Victorian conservatory.

Corporation Park also offers an outdoor tennis court facility and three well-used bowling greens as well as a children’s playground by the lake.

The park has attracted over £3million of investment over recent years to preserve its heritage and has been awarded the Green Flag national recognition for its welcoming and well-maintained standing.
