A visit to Blackburn wouldn’t be complete without sampling an award-winning beer in one of the town’s many Thwaites pubs.

Established in Blackburn in 1807, Thwaites Brewery still operates from its town centre location and is run by direct descendants of the Brewery’s original owner, Daniel Thwaites.

Known for its traditional ales such as Thwaites Original and Dark Mild, which won the Champion Beer of Britain award twice, the Brewery owns 450 pubs across the North West and beyond.
