Blackburn Road Runners Winter Warmer 10K - Witton CountryPark. 9am - 1pm. Entry fee for runners Adults: £6.00 and Children £2.00 for the 2.5K Fun Run (age 6yrs to 16yrs).
The annual event takes place on the Athletics track and runs up past Witton school, then up Buncer Lane along Billinge Road, down Woodcock Lane, turning into Old Hall Lane to the Duck pond at the Cemetry, then along Tower Road between the sports pitches and then turning left to run along the cycle path back to the Athletics Track.
RESCHEDULED from 5th February which had to be cancelled due to severe weather conditions
Road Directions
Witton Country Park is approx 1 mile to the west of Blackburn town centre and 2 miles from junction 3 of the M65.free parking on the main car park just off Preston Old Road (A674).
Public Transport Directions
The park is well served by local buses and is about 1/2 mile from Cherry Tree rail station.
By Bus - service No. 124 to Chorley or service No. 152 to Preston departing from stand M Blackburn Boulevard.
