Darwen Christmas Light Switch On & Nativity Parade:

Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall will be lighting up Darwen on Saturday, November 22nd at 6.30pm. The fun starts at 4pm. Since winning the fifth series of the national talent show in 2011, Jai has released his debut album Believe and is currently working in the studio on new material. The line-up at Darwen also includes James Smith and Harry.

Before the Light Switch on 22nd November, the Annual Nativity Parade will take place at 3pm.

Other Christmas Events in Darwen:

From 22nd November Santa will be in his grotto in Darwen Market Annex every Saturday until Christmas 11am to 2.30pm

Darwen Lions will be bringing Santa on a Sleigh to the Market Square on Friday, 5th and Friday, 19th December. (Times TBC)

20th November: Christmas Market & Fashion Show at Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio  

26th & 27th November: Outdoor Christmas Market at Four Seasons Garden Centre

28th November: Houghton Weavers Christmas Show, Darwen Library Theatre

6th December: DAPA Cabaret Selection Box, Darwen Library Theatre

7th December: Annual Christmas Concert, Darwen Library Theatre

6th-7th December: Walk the Winter Trails in Sunnyhurst Woods

21st December: Santa & his Reindeers & Carol Concert, Old England Kiosk, Sunnyhurst Woods

…..and don’t forget the panto! This year Darwen Library Theatre will be staging Beauty & the Beast from 12th to 24th December.
