Comedy At The Rovers kicks off at Ewood Parks very own Blues Bar on Saturday 24th July! MC Karen Bayley is one of the most in demand acts on the comedy circuit. Having toured as support for Joe Lycett, we've booked ourselves a safe pair of hands to keep the night on track! Tony Burgess is tonight's opener and rock at the back! You may recognise Tony from his role in the cult BBC3 comedy Ideal where he played DJ Troy, Moz’s crazy, vinyl obsessed brother; you may have seen his self penned BBC1 sitcom The Visit, or maybe you’ve caught him doing stand up where he’s played most established venues throughout the country.  “…great, well crafted gags” (The Times)   Tony was the winner of the prestigious City Life Comedian of the Year, came runner up in So You Think You’re Funny and was nominated for best stand up and writer at the North West comedy awards. In the middle of the park, Good Kids (AKA Kieran Ahern and Tom Dowling), who met in the playground at the age of four (Kieran is the curvaceous one, Tom is the other one). They're daft, weird and a bit lairy. With a mix of ridiculous comedy songs, top class on-stage banter and great jokes. Flair and creativity a plenty! Leading the lineup, Brennan Reece! He burst onto the comedy scene after winning English Comedian of the Year in 2015. The following year he was nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for his sell- out debut show Everglow. Brennan is becoming a regular on screens across the UK having appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC), Comedy Central at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), Roast Battle (Comedy Central) and Life Lessons (BBC). A fantastic night in store. Come and support live comedy AND your local football club!
