Set against the decline of the coal mining industry, this is a beautifully structured play that will have you laughing out loud one minute, then holding back the tears the next. Spanning three generations from 1947 to the present day it is a touching portrait of life in West Yorkshire. It captures the dreams, ambitions, joys, tears, heartaches and disappointments, of the parker sisters and their brother. Another fine offering from the pen of the modern master dramatist.
Directed by Clive Stack
