Art Market
14th May 2013
Blackburn Art Market @ The Charity Shop (King William Street)
A creative space to sell affordable art Friday 24th – Saturday 25th May
This year we are hosting the Art Market at The Charity Shop. The Charity shop is a new, creative space in Blackburn town centre enabling local makers and designers to sell goods at affordable prices. Items will be sold for £1, £5 or £10. All profits will be paid to the artist.
As a one-off event (but with potential to host further events in the future) we are kick-starting The Charity Shop as part of a 3 day cultural programme of events in May.
If you would like to sell your work in The Charity Shop, please contact Claire Tymon, Cultural Planner Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council – Claire.tymon@blackburn.gov.uk (Please keep emails less than 2MB)
All artists and makers will have to manage their own stall.
We will require a £10 deposit to secure your submission. This will be returned to you at the end of the day.
NB: There is no official charity involved in this initiative. The shop unit used to be a Council-owned charity shop.
