New Skatepark Opens

Junction 4, a state-of-the-art indoor BMX and skatepark opened it's doors on 20th September 2014

The £60,000 park the first in the borough, based at Junction 4 off the M65, and it aims to become a regional centre for the sports.

The multi-purpose stadium will be used by hundreds of youngsters a week on BMX bikes, skateboards, roller blades and scooters. At the moment, the nearest skateparks are in Preston and Manchester.

The park is at the former Blackburn Rovers Sports Academy building near Darwen Vale School.
