Record breaking Beauty and the Beast
11th December 2017
King George's Hall is set for a record breaking pantomime season with the dazzling Beauty and the Beast.
Stageworks Worldwide Production sees Kevin Simm, winner of The Voice 2016, returning for his fifth Christmas to play The Beast. King George's Hall favourite, Bryan Reid, will appear as Bertha, Queen of Fairies, while newcomer Jennifer Greene will play the bright and beautiful Belle.
The magical production begins in a far-away land of two rival kingdoms; the good and the rich versus the evil and penniless. When the two kings agree for their children to marry to keep the peace, Prince Valiant is repulsed at the idea of marrying the wicked Queen Evangeline.
Furious that she will not be able to get her hateful hands on the good kingdom's riches, Queen Evangeline curses the young prince to a life as a hideous beast. Nothing but true love can lift the curse, but only before the last petal of the rose falls.
Audiences can be sure to look forward to a unique show, bursting with singing, dancing, acrobatics, plenty of magic and brilliant goodies and baddies! This heart warming story of finding inner beauty is sure to make your Christmas magical!
Audiences are encouraged to book tickets for the remaining shows early.
