Categories: Town Centre News

The Mall Blackburn is gearing up for a sensational summer packed with fantastic free activities to keep the little ones busy!

First up, from Friday 20th until Wednesday 25th July, is a truly out of this world experience in the virtual reality Fantasmapod! It has been described as a unique gaming experience with games to suit all ages.

Next on the fun filled agenda is an award winning interactive floor projection system, the Active Beam, which will burst into life on Saturday 28th July and remain until Sunday 2nd September.

It turns an empty space into an immersive, engaging and highly entertaining digital floor to play games such as Super Soccer, Co Co Nuts and Aliens vs Scientists.

Suitable from age 2 to 102, everyone is invited to come along and fight for a place on the leader board, with three weekly winners receiving a £10 Mall Gift Card each.

Last, but certainly not least, is a terrific terrarium making workshop, which will take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July.

Mini gardening enthusiasts will be able to show their creative side by producing their own mini greenhouse filled with lush greenery.

Laura Diffey, Marketing Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “Summer looks set to be sensational here at The Mall, with something for everyone.

“The school holidays can often pose a problem for parents looking to keep the kids entertained, especially if this glorious weather we are having comes to an end.

“We believe that everyone should enjoy the holidays so we make all our events free – and we can’t wait to see everyone have a great time!”
