Family theatre show on a wooden cart coming to Lancashire

A family theatre show that is all performed on a traditional wooden cart will visit Barnoldswick and Blackburn in April.
“Reynard The Fox”, from The Fabularium, will be performed three times a day at The Rainhall Centre in Barnoldswick on Wednesday 12 April at 11.30am, 3pm and 6pm. There will then be three further performances at The Bureau - Centre For The Arts in Blackburn on Thursday 13 April at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

The tale of “Reynard the Fox” follows the woodland’s most infamous scoundrel who prides himself on being the trickster of the forest. But when the Woodland Court announces the theft of the King’s Crown Jewels the animal kingdom immediately blame the fox. Reynard must do everything he can to prove his innocence and avoid certain death…
A new piece of engaging theatre for family audiences of all ages, using The Fabularium’s unique aesthetic, strong imagery and all performed upon their traditional wooden cart. The show features storytelling, puppetry, original live music and bespoke animal headpieces.
The Fabularium is a self-contained touring outdoor theatre company with a medieval twist. They specialise in a series of skills including storytelling, live music, mask work, puppetry, physical theatre and acrobatics. The company perform upon a processional pageant wagon in town centres, parks, festivals and other events. Their range of set performances and walkabout acts that combine a number of disciplines make their work unique, engaging, stylish, energetic and fun.
The shows form part of Spot On Lancashire’s spring season of touring, taking professional arts events to rural venues and libraries across the county.
