Finch Bakery bringing tantalising treats to The Mall Blackburn

The Mall Blackburn is set to become home to a Finch Bakery store in an exciting move by the renowned masters of delicious desserts.

It will be the third store for the Finch team, which was established by twin sisters Lauren and Rachel in their family’s kitchen in 2016. 

The business has since grown into two retail stores, with The Mall being the third, three units, a 40 strong team, a delivery van and an online service.

Opening in time for Christmas, the new store has created an additional five new jobs and will be located in the former Millie’s Cookies unit across from Costa Coffee.

Loraine Jones, General Manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “We are over the moon to be welcoming Finch Bakery to The Mall.

“The business is built on an enviable reputation for out of this world cakes, brownies, cake jars and celebration bakes, so I am sure our shoppers will share our enthusiasm for their amazing products!”

Rachel Finch said: “We’re thrilled to be opening a store in The Mall, it is another huge step for us in our journey!

“Initially Blackburn wasn’t in our sights for a location but the opportunity arose and it just felt like the perfect place and time.

“We grew up going into Blackburn every weekend as teenagers so it’s very exciting for us that we will be opening in the busiest part of The Mall. 

“We are in the final planning stages and will be announcing an opening date very soon, so sweet-toothed shoppers don’t have long to wait.”
