Turton Tower is a distinctive English country house located in the small village of Turton on the edge of the popular walking area of the West Pennine Moors. Originally built by the Tudor Orrell family to defend their land, it later became a luxurious home and is now a historical house and museum open to the public.

Opening Hours 11th March 2017 to 30th October 2017

Wednesday to Sunday, including bank holidays: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

Facilities include; FREE on site parking for cars and coaches Gift Shop Victorian Kitchen Tea Room Meeting rooms and grounds for hire Admittance for guide dogs and limited disabled access Admission - £6 adult, £5 concession, accompanied children U16 free Why not make a day of it? You can visit the Historic House and explore 600 years of history, peruse the Gift Shop, stroll around the wonderful grounds and gardens. relax in the Victorian Kitchen Tea Room with a light lunch, tea/coffee and slice a cake or just a good old 'cuppa tea and sit down', the children can enjoy the great outdoors in the brilliant Woodland Play area. Turton Tower really is too much to miss!

Road Directions

M65: Exit at Junction 4 and take the A666 through Darwen, left at Greens Arms Road to Chapeltown, right onto B6391. M66: At end of motorway take A676. At Bradshaw turn right along B6391.M61: Exit at Junction 5 onto the A58 and then turn left onto the A676 to Bradshaw, left onto B6391.
