Meet a variety of authors and illustrators, and experience interactive sessions with: author and Bollywood dance teacher Salma Zaman, illustrator and author Zehrah Hicks, author and actor Oli Sykes, illustrator Ian Morris, author Hafiza Issa, rapping poet Donovan Christopher and author and library patron Christina Gabbitas. Books will be available for sale and signing too.

The Blackburn with Darwen Children's Literature Festival will return to the borough from 2nd - 8th October 2023 thanks to generous funding from the Arts Council as well as Blackburn with Darwen Libraries, Darwen Town Council, Darwen Rotary and the Lloyds Trust with sessions for schools during the week and a number of events for the general public too. Advance booking is strongly advised - reservations for all of the following can be made on www.eventbrite.co.uk and all events in the festival are free of charge.

Road Directions
Darwen Library is situated in Darwen town centre on the junction between School Street and Knott Street. From M65, approach along the Main road into Darwen, turning left into Union Street, then right into Knott Street. From Bolton, approach along main road into Darwen town centre, turn right along Church Street past Darwen Bus Station, follow the road round toward Railway Road, and turn left onto School Street.
