School holidays are nearly here!
Which means it's time for us to get crafty in the libraries once again. Children age 5 and over can make a spinning toy out of simple strips of paper and a wooden skewer. As it spins and twirls, the simple strips of paper creates all sorts of amazing patterns. It's fun to make and even more fun to play with!

- Darwen Library on Thursday 4th January 2024 at 2 - 4 pm
- Mill Hill Library on Friday 5th January 2024 at 10 - 12 noon
- Roman Road Library on Friday 5th January 2024 at 10 - 12 noon
- Cherry Tree Library on Friday 5th January 2024 at 2 - 4 pm
Free tickets for activities will be available from the relevant library up to 2 weeks before each event.
Road Directions
Blackburn Central Library is located in the Northgate Area of Blackburn Town Centre. There is plenty of parking around the town centre & on The Mall Shopping centre car park.
Darwen Library is situated in Darwen town centre on the junction between School Street and Knott Street. From M65, approach along the Main road into Darwen, turning left into Union Street, then right into Knott Street. From Bolton, approach along main road into Darwen town centre, turn right along Church Street past Darwen Bus Station, follow the road round toward Railway Road, and turn left onto School Street.
