An international Adidas exhibition to celebrate 10 years of its successful Spezial range is to be hosted in Darwen.
The free exhibition, coming to Darwen, will be called ‘DECADE – 10 years of Adidas Spezial’ and will run for ten days across two weeks from May 17th - 26th May 2024.
Highlights include:
Limited edition Blackburn SPZL (DECADE pack) X Nightsafe shoe launch
10th Anniversary DECADE book launch
Education programme for schools and colleges including talks and film screenings
Featuring the complete adidas SPZL footwear archive and highlights from the 10 years of apparel collections, this retrospective exhibition will showcase vintage design references, unseen samples, technical drawings, signed footwear and a large selection of rare adidas SPZL artefacts.
The exhibition will be a celebration of adidas SPZL’s 10th anniversary.
Gary Aspden designed the popular Adidas Spezial range ten years ago and now his hometown of Darwen is set to host an international Adidas exhibition to celebrate.
The exhibition will runover the same weekend as Darwen Live – the largest free music festival in the whole of the UK.
Admission to the exhibition is free, but donations to Nightsafe are encouraged
