Blackburn Festival of Light Drummers will be playing and there will be fantastic walkabout performances and light installations to bring an atmosphere of Festival to the Cathedral Square on Saturday 16th December from 5pm.

Your Unique lanterns will be stored at the Blackburn Festival of Ligjht event hub until the event and will be available for collection on Saturday 16th December between 4 - 5 pm.  Uncollected lanterns remaining after this time, will be displayed at Cathedral Square with other lanterns.

We are very much relying on our community to pull together, as you all did for the virtual parade in 2020.   It would be appreciated if you are in a position where you can pay, or leave a donation, please do support us to bring Blackburn Festival of Light to you in 2024.  Due to limited funding, we are able to offer small triangle based lanters this year.

Suitable for ages 5+.   All workshops are accessible and it is 'Not Compulsory' to come with a child, though children must be accompanied by an adult.  This is a messy gluey activity, please wear suitable cloting.

Places are limited so please book!  Workshops are free, but a deposit is required to secure your place.  Please arrive at the start of the session, to ensure enough time to complete/finish your lantern.
